Hello Class of 2030 Parents and Guardians! Here is a quick list of recommended resources and actions to help you stay informed.
Contact Your local Parent Club – There are over 80 U.S. Air Force Academy parent clubs across the country. Links below for clubs’ contact info and appointee event schedule.
Join the USAFA Class of 2030 Parents Group OFFICIAL Facebook Group – Closed group for Class of 2030 Parents/Guardians. Link below to submit a request to join.
Appointee Guides. (Prep School and the Academy) – Guides contain a wealth of information! Guides were provided on the Admissions Portal, and available for Prep School cadet candidates and the Academy appointees.
Parent/Guardian Information Release – Submit an information release to allow the Academy to share your contact info with parent clubs, spirit clubs and the Academy Association and Foundation to help keep you better informed.
We understand being the parent of a cadet isn’t easy. Not only is your child being challenged to cope with the demands of an education, but they must also balance rigorous military training to successfully graduate as Second Lieutenants in the Air Force and Space Force. To ensure you have all the resources and knowledge to support your cadet during their academic career, we’re here to help.
Your role as a proud, supportive parent is an important one. To help you effectively communicate and support this new chapter of your cadet’s life, we’ve compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions. Each cadet’s experience is unique, so for all remaining questions we ask that you first reach out to them for the most timely and relevant information.
Official Parent/Guardian Facebook Groups
Parents/guardians can request to join the applicable Class Year Parents Group(s) via the links below. These Facebook Groups will be monitored by both your Parent Liaison Team and USAFA Marketing Team and will ensure the parent community receives accurate information in a timely manner. We encourage you to engage on these pages so we can ensure your questions are answered and concerns heard. These official groups and your local parents’ club are the best source of information along this journey!
Local Parent Clubs
Local parent clubs and class spirit committees are an essential part of the Academy experience, as they facilitate communication between the institution and parents of cadets. These organizations provide opportunities to ask questions, voice opinions and grow personal networks, while supporting cadets by purchasing gifts and sponsoring morale events.
