Visit the Academy
We offer several ways to connect with the U.S. Air Force Academy. These options include campus visits and outreach events near you. Both provide opportunities to meet recently graduated Admissions Advisors who have gone through the process. Whether you’ve known your whole life you want to attend or just want to find out what the Academy is all about, we have an event that’s right for you.

Visit the Academy
Please note that tour capacity is limited and reservations fill quickly. We recommend scheduling your tour as early as possible, as availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our Academy visits include an in-depth Admissions presentation, Q&A with recently graduated Second Lieutenants, and a guided tour through the heart of campus, normally restricted to authorized personnel only. Our tours are intended for interested students aged 13 to 22 and their family.
Touring the Academy is a physically strenuous activity that includes walking long distances, often uphill and several flights of stairs. Please keep in mind the Academy is more than 7,000 feet above sea level, and these tours are not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.
Due to base operations or inclement weather, Academy visits might be canceled to ensure the safety of our visitors and Admissions Team.
Find An Event Near You
We recognize that not all prospective students and families are able to travel to Colorado Springs to visit the U.S. Air Force Academy. To provide opportunities to connect beyond Colorado Springs, the Academy offers a range of outreach events throughout the year. Academy representatives participate in college fairs, visit high schools, and engage with communities nationwide. These events provide an opportunity to learn more about the Academy, the admissions process, and life as a cadet. Most outreach events take place during the fall and spring, with fewer events offered during the summer months.
Whether you’ve known your whole life you want to attend the Academy or are just beginning to explore your options, there is an outreach event designed for you. Attendees may hear from recently commissioned lieutenants about their experiences as cadets, speak with admissions counselors about application requirements and competitiveness, or connect with graduates who can share how the Academy has influenced their careers and lives.
Academy Days
State and Congressional Academy Days are informational events hosted by Members of Congress or state officials that introduce students and families to all the U.S. Service Academies and explain the congressional nomination process. Please visit our Academy Day events page to find an event near you. Please note that State/Congressional Academy Day events are not hosted by the Academy. Any questions should be directed to the hosting official, listed under the event description.
Falcon Forum
Falcon Forum offers students and their families the opportunity to learn more about the United States Air Force Academy, including the admissions process, the cadet experience, and life at the Academy. The Director of Admissions, Col. Candice Pipes; recent Academy graduates serving as Second Lieutenant Admissions Advisors; and other admissions representatives are available to share insights, answer questions, and connect with attendees. Falcon Forum events are hosted at various locations across the United States.
