Sabre Drill Team

Club Information
The U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Sabre Drill Team demonstrates professional military skills and discipline through the performance of an intricate sabre manual. Founded in 1961, it is one of the Academy’s oldest clubs.
The team creates unique performances to a variety of music song genres and has historically competed in silent drill exhibitions and won national titles. Additionally, the team supports Academy graduates’ weddings, funerals, and other special military events, usually in the service of professional military sabre arches.
Cadets create a lifelong bond with fellow team members. A large alumni network is still in contact with the team and offers support. Develop lifelong habits and skills that transfer directly to being an Air Force or Space Force officer, instilling the values of “sharp, crisp, and distinct.”
Club Accomplishments

In addition to performances at Academy football games and graduations, the team has performed at weddings and military services. Some performances are at events across the country in front of crowds of 60,000 or more.
