Club Information

The U.S. Air Force Academy Beekeeping Club is committed to providing comprehensive bee education to cadets. We cover a wide range of topics such as the different types of bees, their roles within the hive, and the aspects of hive management, and maintenance. Through interactive learning experiences, cadets gain a deep understanding of bee behavior, hive dynamics, and the essential practices of responsible beekeeping.

Club members learn how keep bees and better the relationship between people and pollinators. The club provides a supportive environment and organizes various social events to raise awareness and foster a sense of community for bee enthusiasts. These events include bee painting with a twist and hosting bee movies at the planetarium.

Members meet in Fairchild Hall to learn about beekeeping and refine their skills at the Natural Resources office.

Club Accomplishments

Cadet holding a honeycomb.

As a relatively new club, founded in 2021, there are many opportunities to achieve great things in the near future.

One club highlight is extracting honey and providing honey tastings to fellow cadets.

Becoming a Member

Cadets are welcome to join and learn about beekeeping, educate others, and raise awareness of the importance of bees in Colorado. This is a no-commitment opportunity to interact with bees, participate in events, and be part of a community of bee lovers.
