U.S. Air Force Academy’s Class of ’22 to begin Basic Cadet Training June 28

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — The next class of cadets at the Air Force Academy is scheduled to arrive at Clune Arena June 28 to begin Basic Cadet Training.

Approximately 1,200 young men and women are slated to begin arriving at the Academy at 7:30 a.m. to get uniforms and haircuts and be assigned to a training squadron.

The basic cadets are slated to take the cadet Oath of Allegiance 7:30 a.m. June 29 at Stillman Field.

Basic Cadet Training ends August 4 and includes military, physical and weapons training, uniform and dorm inspections and marching drills.

The basic cadets will also receive honor and ethics lessons, and instruction on the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the Air Force’s core values of “Integrity First,” “Service Before Self” and “Excellence in All We Do.”
