The General Bradley and Zita Hosmer

Visitor Center

The Hosmer Visitor Center is a modern building with large glass façade illuminated at night, set against a clear sky. Fireworks burst in the distance, adding a festive touch. Lush greenery and informational signs in the foreground enhance the scene.

The U.S. Air Force Academy’s new visitor center will open its doors in May 2026. The General Bradley and Zita Hosmer Visitor Center will serve as the gateway to Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA. Located just outside the Academy’s North Gate, it will offer easy access to visitors.

The 34,000-square-foot center will offer an immersive experience into the 47-month cadet journey and showcase the legacy of the Long Blue Line of Academy graduates and the importance of selfless service.

The sprawling center will comprise seven galleries, each with its own theme and featuring interactive, digital-heavy exhibits. Guests can learn about the details of a class crest, have a moment of self-reflection in the mirrored wall while listening to the Air Force and Space Force core values, watch a video on one of the seven oversized screens, or explore career opportunities in the Polaris Star interactive display.

A suspended saillane is displayed within a large, modern glass atrium. The sunny view outside shows green fields, buildings, and distant mountains, creating an inspiring and expansive feel.

In the 108-foot grand atrium, visitors can marvel at the 40, 45, and 50-foot tetrahedra with soundscapes of celebrations and ceremonies while looking out toward the Front Range. Looking up, they’ll see a suspended glider coming out of an aerobatic loop.

Upon completing the experience, visitors will exit through a 3,000 square-foot gift shop and team store.

The Hosmer Visitor Center will be open seven days per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
