Results of Courts-Martial:
A general court martial for Cadet Viet Zaengle concluded Aug. 6, 2025. Cadet Zaengle plead not guilty to one specification of Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, for sexual assault. Cadet Zaengle was convicted of the offense by a jury and sentenced by a military judge to confinement for five years, dismissal from the Air Force (punitive discharge), a reprimand, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances.June 2025 - July 2025

Results of Courts-Martial:
United States v. AFC E.S. On March 3, 2025, a general court-martial was convened, at which the accused stood trial on charges of sexual assault and abusive sexual contact under Article 120, UCMJ and assault under Article 128, UCMJ. Following a four-day trial before a judge alone, the accused was found not guilty on all charges.Nonjudicial Punishment: N/A

Results of Courts-Martial:
United States v. Airmen Basic Dylan Fife: On Dec. 10, 2024, a general court-martial was convened, at which AB Fife pled guilty to one charge of Article 128b, UCMJ, domestic violence, and two charges of Article 92, UCMJ, indecent conduct by showing sexually explicit videos of an intimate partner without that partner’s consent and one charge of Article 134, UCMJ, for extramarital sexual conduct. AB Fife was sentenced to 17 months of confinement. He also received a bad conduct discharge and a reprimand.Nonjudicial Punishment: N/A
Administrative Actions:
Sexual assault, Minor Disciplinary Infractions: 1 enlisted service member was discharged for sexual assault and other minor disciplinary infractions. The service member was discharged with a General discharge characterization.

Results of Courts-Martial: United States v. Air Force Cadet: On Jan. 8, 2024, a general court-martial was convened, at which a Cadet was found not guilty, and acquitted by a military judge for one charge of Article 120, Sexual Assault on 12 Jan. 2024. The charge involved an alleged act of penetrative sexual assault at USAFA without the other servicemember’s consent.
Nonjudicial Punishment: N/A
Administrative Actions: A board of inquiry (BOI) for sexual assault was held in Jan. 2024 for allegations that a servicemember committed penetrative sexual assault against two other servicemembers while at USAFA, without the other servicemembers’ consent. The BOI determined that the servicemember did not commit the offenses under the preponderance of the evidence standard, and he was retained.
