Bio

Lt Col Wyche is the Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition to his teaching duties, Lt Col Wyche leads 23 faculty, staff, and researchers in the instruction of over 1,250 cadets per year. The department also uses state-of-the-art laboratories to aid in research efforts supporting a variety of industry and DoD partners.

Lt Col Wyche entered the Air Force in 1995, serving 12 years as an enlisted member before receiving his commission through Air Force ROTC at the University of Texas at El Paso.  He has served in a variety of positions throughout his Air Force career; aircraft maintenance technician, enlisted accessions recruiter, research engineer, AFROTC Assistant Professor, Space Mission Design Manager for the DoD Space Test Program, foreign military sales commodity manager during a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Resolute Support, Operations Officer for recruiting efforts in Central/South Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Chief of National Events for HQ Air Force Recruiting Service.

Prior to his current position, Lt Col Wyche served as Commander, 333d Recruiting Squadron, Patrick Space Force Base, FL.
