Mr. Michael Golembesky
Air & Space Operations Wargaming Lab Director
Bio
Mr. Golembesky is a simulations and wargame designer with the Strategy and Warfare Center (SWC). He is currently serving as the operations manager and lead designer of the new USAFA Multi-Domain Laboratory (MDL). Prior to joining SWC, he worked as a civilian contractor for 5-years with the USAFA Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Program/Squadron as an RQ-11/20 evaluator and lead designer/operator of the Joint All-Domain Environment (JADE) simulation laboratory.
Mr. Golembesky is a prior service U.S. Marine (E-6/SSgt.) with 8-years of active duty, to include five deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). He is a combat veteran of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars where he served as a field artillery Forward Observer (Fire Support Man – MOS 0861) and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC – MOS 8002) with Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), 2d Marine Raider Battalion, MSOC G, Team 2.
Mr. Golembesky has more than 13-years of experience with designing and operating military-grade simulation systems and is active in the modernization of traditional wargaming for use in academic learning with a focus on joint multi-domain operations. He is also a New York Times Bestselling author for his 2014 memoir, Level Zero Heroes.
