Bio

Captain Hannah “Wednesday” Deaver is an Instructor in the Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Department at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. Captain Deaver graduated from the University of Missouri in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and was commissioned through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Nuclear and Missile Operations officer. She later earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville in 2025.

Following completion of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Rapid Execution and Combat Targeting System (REACT) Initial Skills Training at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Captain Deaver was assigned to the 12th Missile Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. There, she served as a Missile Combat Crew Commander, Mission Lead, and Instructor, gaining extensive operational experience with the Minuteman III weapon system.

Captain Deaver later served with the 490th Missile Squadron at Malmstrom AFB, where she held positions as an Instructor, Assistant Flight Commander of Training, Evaluator, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, and Tactical Flight Commander. She was subsequently assigned to the 341st Operational Support Squadron where she served as Lead Instructor, responsible for developing and standardizing the Minuteman III instructor cadre across the Group. During her career in nuclear operations, Captain Deaver accumulated over 6,000 hours of nuclear alert duty in support of the nation’s 24/7 strategic deterrence mission.
