Major Robin E. O’Connor is an Instructor of Military and Strategic Studies and MAJCOM flight examiner at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Previously, she was Deputy Chief of Standardization and Evaluation for the 306th Flying Training Group and Evaluator Pilot in the T-53A, T-41D, and T-51A at the U.S. Air Force Academy. She led the group’s Publications, Flight Manual, and Electronic Flight Book programs, and directed 59 personnel in execution of the group’s Supervisor of Flying program for over 40,000 annual flights and freefalls. The 306 FTG provides soaring, powered flight, jump, and overall airmanship training to the Academy’s more than 4,000 cadets.

Maj O’Connor received her commission in 2014 through the Academy. She completed undergraduate pilot training at Vance Air Force Base in 2016. She has accomplished operational KC-15R/T assignments at Kadena Air Base, and Fairchild Air Force Base and has deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Additionally, she accomplished one assignment as an Air Education and Training Command flight instructor in the T41D, T-51A, and T-53A. She has held qualifications as copilot, aircraft commander, instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, and MAJCOM evaluator pilot.

Maj O’Connor is a senior pilot with more that 2000 flying hours, including 135 combat hours and over 300 instructor and evaluator hours in the KC-135R/T, T-41D, T-51A, and T-53A.
