Acceptance Day

Cadets swearing in during an Acceptance Day event.

Taking place prior to the start of the academic year, Acceptance Day celebrates the successful completion of Basic Cadet Training which includes six weeks of mental, physical and military training.

During the ceremony, the entire cadet wing march in parade formation and the freshmen receive their fourth-class shoulder boards, signifying their acceptance into the cadet wing. They are also assigned their academic year cadet squadron.

Guests are allowed to attend and observe the parade from the Stillman Parade Field stands and normally are allowed to spend a short amount of time with their cadet following the parade. Additional information will be provided by the Parent Liaison Team through local parent clubs as the event draws near.
