Men's Basketball

The mission of the men’s basketball program is to develop IC recruited athletes for the rigors of Division I basketball, expand their basketball knowledge and skill set, and instill the Air Force core values into their athletic experience. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, skill development, and proper execution of the fundamentals of the game.

Basketball players will be taught offensive and defensive schemes run by the U.S. Air Force Academy Basketball team, and will participate in a strategic, focused strength and conditioning program modeled after the Academy’s program.

2020-2021 Schedule

The team usually competes in a 26-32 game schedule against junior colleges, NCAA/ NAIA junior varsity, and military base teams. The basketball season runs from September to February.

Men’s basketball pre-season workouts begin during BMT intramurals and the team is considered “on season” with the first official practice occurring after the Labor Day holiday. Typically the season ends over President’s Day weekend. Offseason workouts/practices begin after the last official game and end in May.

Due to concerns with the covid 19 virus, a schedule has not been formulated for this season.
