Bio
Capt Maurer is from Downers Grove, Illinois and entered the Air Force after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. He then went on to serve at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois where he gained experience in project management and programming. During this assignment, he deployed twice including time as the Mission Support Flight Commander in Kenya and as a Project Manager in Saudi Arabia. Following the completion of his Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree at Colorado State University, Capt Maurer spent a year at Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea as the Chief of Project Management before arriving at the Academy as an instructor.
