
Bio
Capt Tyler G. Romig is an instructor of Chemistry at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He instructs undergraduate chemistry courses and mentors cadets on academic and professional topics.
Capt Tyler Romig was commissioned into the U.S Air Force in 2019 through the University of Minnesota Twin Cities AFROTC program. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, he commissioned into the United State Air Force as a Chemist (61C). He served as a Joint CBRN Chemist at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland where he supported the Joint Program Executive Office for CBRN Defense (JPEO-CBRND). In 2021 Capt Romig continued supporting the JPEO-CBRND as a program manager developing next generation chemical agent detectors for joint forces. Afterwards, he received a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the Air Force Institute of Technology's Civilian Institution program at the University of Maryland College Park.
