Tech Sergeant Lucas K. Llewellyn is a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory technician assigned to the Aeronautics Laboratory as a wind tunnel technician, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. Sergeant Llewellyn was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, on 23 June 1987. He attended Mooresville Sr. High School and was a member of the football and track teams. After graduating from high school, Sergeant Llewellyn was locally employed in the restaurant industry before deciding to serve his country. He subsequently enlisted in the Air Force in 2011 and arrived at Lackland AFB, Texas, on June 7th for basic training. Upon graduation from technical school, he received his first duty assignment at Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona, arriving in March 2012. Since arriving at the United States Air Force Academy, his contributions to the aeronautical engineering educational program have played a key role in accomplishing the mission of educating the future officers of the Air Force. Sergeant Llewellyn is an active member of the Dean of Faculty, volunteering his time to multiple events and earning him Non-Commissioned Officer of the third quarter of 2022. His military awards include one Air Force Commendation Medal accompanied by 3 Air Force Achievement Medals. He is currently pursuing his Associate’s degree through the American Military University online to ultimately complete his long-term goal of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
