
Bio
Capt Tiffany M. Phan is an Instructor in the Department of Computer & Cyber Sciences. She is responsible for educating, training, and inspiring men and women to become officers of character upon graduation and commissioning as second lieutenants.
Capt Phan commissioned as a cyberspace operations officer from ROTC at The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She received her Master of Science in Cyber Operations from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2018 and has since pursued degrees in other fields. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics with a focus on space domain awareness applications of machine learning and natural language processing.
Beyond her education, Capt Phan was an Assistant Director of Operations for the 51st Operations Support Squadron at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea providing Command & Control support for flying operations. She then served as the Mission Assurance Flight Commander for the 3d Space Experimentation Squadron, where she led a team of military, civilians, and contractors responsible for the planning and maintenance of ground systems for cutting-edge experimental satellite space missions.
