
Bio
Dr. Mathias earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California – Davis in 2020. Prior to coming to USAFA, he worked in industry as the Director of Quantitative Research at The MarkeTech Group, a boutique market research firm specializing in pricing medical devices. He also served as a Director of Econometrics at Bliss Point Media, where he optimized advertising for various clients.
Dr. Mathias's research interests lie in public, labor, and education economics. He teaches the Intermediate Microeconomics sequence for all economics cadets at USAFA.
