Bio

Dr. Richard Marsh serves as an adjunct professor of history at the United States Air Force academy in addition to his appointment as the Deputy Command Historian of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).

A 2006 graduate of the United States Military Academy, Dr. Marsh served on active duty for eleven years as an armor officer in the United States Army, which included a tour teaching history to cadets at West Point. He currently serves as an Army reservist.

A historian of twentieth century U.S. diplomatic and military history, his current research interests include the Cold War History of NORAD and the recent history of NORAD and USNORTHCOM.

He is a native of Virginia and currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife and their four children.
