Bio

Lt Col Lisa Seymour is currently a USAF Reserve IMA supporting the Military and Strategic Studies Department at USAFA instructing MSS 444, Space and Cyber Strategy for National Security.  She has 23+ years experience across Active Duty, the National Guard (NY, FL, CO) and USAFR.  She originally received her commissioning through ROTC at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Mathematics.   Her specialties span across F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Instructor (CU-Boulder, USAFA), Operations Research analyst, and Space Operations. Additionally, she has experience as a contractor supporting OSD CAPE, HQ USAF/A9, USSPACECOM, and USSF Space Operations Command.

Professional Experience

As an F-16 Maintenance Officer (21A), Lt Col Seymour led as many as 300 people and managed over $720M in Air Force assets in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.  She supported several deployments in support of Operation Noble Eagle, providing Alert aircraft and live Combat Air Patrols after the September 11th attacks.  As an Operations Research (15A) analyst, Lt Col Seymour supported the Strategy Division at the 601st Air Operations Center, analyzing and assessing tracks of interests to maintain air defense operations.  As a Space Operations Officer (13S) Lt Col Seymour's experience includes directing operations at the National Reconnaissance Office's Operations Center and as a Deputy Division Chief at USSF Space Operations Command.  Prior to teaching at USAFA, she also instructed AF Leadership and Management Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder.  She has served at the MAJCOM and Combatant Command level and has experience as a C-Coded Commander.
