Bio

Colonel Andre Johnson is the Commander, 10th Mission Support Group, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He commands more than 1,900 military, civilian and contract personnel, and plans, manages and directs all civil engineering, contracting, communications, logistics, military and civilian personnel, law enforcement and force protection, and morale, welfare and recreation activities supporting 4,000 cadets and a military community of more than 25,000 people. He executes a $150 million budget and is responsible for a base infrastructure valued at $3.5 billion, expanding 18,000 acres. Colonel Johnson also represents the installation on key engagements with surrounding communities and counties, and with federal, state, regional and local officials, to include the Governor of Colorado, Colorado congressional members and delegates.

Colonel Johnson is a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is a career logistician, and has held various leadership positions at the squadron, group, Headquarters Air Force and Combatant Command staff levels. Colonel Johnson is Level II certified in acquisition logistics and Level I certified in program management. He possesses the Headquarters Air Force, Master Logistics Readiness Officer and Basic Maintenance badges, and is a fully qualified Joint Service Officer.
