Bio

Lieutenant Colonel Peters serves as the Deputy Director, International Programs, and Assistant Professor of German at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. A native of Bad Hersfeld, Germany, Lieutenant Colonel Peters began her military service in 1995 as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic in the Army. She was commissioned in the Air Force after graduating from Officer Training School in 2001.

Lieutenant Colonel Peters has served as wing budget analyst, weapon system cost analyst, executive officer and German instructor. She was deployed as an air advisor in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom assisting senior members of the Iraqi military with budget formulation and requirements planning. She was deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan where she helped with program requirements development for the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. Most recently, she served as an instructor at the Defense Financial Management and Comptroller School, Maxwell AFB, AL.
