Lt Col Rex Peacock is an Assistant Professor of Geosciences, Department of Economics and Geosciences, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He currently teaches and serves as the Course Director for Geospatial Science 382: Remote Sensing and Imagery Analysis and Geospatial Science 482: Advanced Remote Sensing.

Lt Col Peacock entered the Air Force in 2006 as a graduate of the Academy. He has served in a variety of flying and staff positions throughout the United States and in multiple deployed locations. Lt Col Peacock has also served as a deployed squadron commander. Prior to his current position, the lieutenant colonel was an Air Force Institute of Technology Doctor of Philosophy Student, Air Force Institute of Technology Civilian Institution Programs Directorate, San Diego, Calif.

Lt Col Peacock is a Command Pilot with flying experience in tactical airlift, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, precision strike, and specialized mobility missions. He is also trained as a Rated Multi-Domain Warfare Officer. Lt Col Peacock has served in the Mobility Air Force, the Combat Air Force, and in Special Operations Forces. He has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Pacific Eagle-Philippines, Juniper Shield and multiple global contingency operations.
