Bio

Major Taylor Roynon is from Findlay, Ohio. He enlisted in the Army in 2002 and served as a Satellite Communications NCO for 4.5 years before attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Fla.) under a Green-to-Gold Scholarship studying Aeronautical Science and earning his airplane commercial pilot license. Taylor Roynon received his commission in 2010 and went on to graduate Army flight school at Fort Rucker in 2011 rated in UH-60M Blackhawks.

From 2012-2015 he was assigned to 3-1 Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1ID CAB, Fort Riley where he served as an Assistant S3, Platoon Leader, and Division LNO including a forward deployment to Afghanistan. Upon graduation from Aviation Captain’s Career course in 2015, he took command of D Co, 6-101 GSAB, 101st CAB from 2015-2016 at Fort Campbell. He then took command of A Co 6-101 GSAB, 101st CAB, until 2017 which included DCRF deployments in support of Hurricane Irma and Maria. In 2018 he served as the Battalion S3 for 96th ASB, including a forward deployment to Afghanistan under Task Force Panther. In 2020 Taylor graduated with a Professional MBA from Belmont University. In 2021 he graduated from the Command and General Staff College with a Master’s of Operational Studies. In Summer of 2021, he took command of B Co, 404th ASB, 4th CAB (Aviation Support Company) at Fort Carson. In 2022, he served as the Executive Officer for 3-4 Assault Helicopter Battalion. In 2023, he served as the Brigade Operations officer for 4th Combat Aviation Brigade. From 2024-2026 he has served as the Director of G3 Aviation for the 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson. From 2025-2026 Taylor led a prototype development team for U.S. Army Next-Generation Command and Control (NGC2) with multiple industry partners to modernize software solutions for Agentic AI application to Airspace Management across the joint force. Taylor is a UH-60M (Assault), UH-60L (C2), and HH-60M (MEDEVAC) Pilot-In-Command and Air Mission Commander.

Taylor lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Breezi Roynon, a digital marketing manager, with their children Carter and Harper.
