Bio
Lt Col Durso is an Instructor of Military Strategy at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He previously served as Director of Operations for the 320th Training Squadron, JBSA-Lackland, Texas, & Deputy, Operations Directorate, 67th Cyberspace Wing, JBSA-Lackland, Texas, where he led 120 Airmen providing direct support to 19 squadrons and 5 detachments, designing and leading the campaign to meet the Commander, U.S. Cyber Command’s #1 priority.
Lt Col Durso began his enlisted career as a cryptologic linguist (Russian). He served in that capacity for eight years on the ground and two more on airborne status aboard EC-130H COMPASS CALL, during which time he deployed to Kuwait and Iraq.
Upon graduating Officer Training School in 2008, Lt Col Durso began his career as an Intelligence Officer specializing in Signals Intelligence, Special Operations Forces (SOF), and Cyber Operations, with assignments to Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, Hurlburt Field, Fla., Fort Meade, Md., Al Udeid Air Base, MacDill AFB, Fla., and JBSA-Lackland, Texas, with multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait, and other locations.
