
Bio
Major Hillary E. Redmond is an Instructor of Chemistry at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo.
Maj Redmond graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Arabic language. She went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Florida in 2016 as a recipient of the Academy's Graduate School Program scholarship. Following graduate school, Maj Redmond attended pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss., earning her silver pilot wings in 2017. Her first assignment was JB Charleston, S.C. flying the C-17A, where she flew combat missions during the Kabul, Afghanistan humanitarian evacuations in August 2021. In October 2021, Maj Redmond returned to Columbus AFB to serve as a T-1A instructor and evaluator pilot for the 48th Flying Training Squadron. Maj Redmond flew the T-1A up until full fleet divestment in March 2026, also serving as Wing Executive Officer and Chief of Wing Commander’s Action Group during her four years with the Alleycats and the 14th Flying Training Wing.
Maj Redmond is a senior pilot with over 2200 flight hours including over 400 combat and combat support hours in the C-17A and T-1A.
