Mark your calendar and save the date for this free event! The U.S. Air Force Academy Band presents its annual “Holly & Ivy” concert on Dec. 3, 4 and 9.
Celebrate the season at the U.S. Air Force Academy as the band presents their annual holiday concert, “Holly & Ivy”. This tradition brings together festive favorites inspiring melodies, and the spirit of the holidays in a performance that captures the joy and wonder of the season. Join us as we welcome YOU into our home at the U.S. Air Force Academy for an evening of music, celebration, and connection.
This event is open and intended for the public to have an opportunity to visit the Academy, interact with our cadets, celebrate the season, and witness the musical talent of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band. Admission is free, but tickets must be secured ahead of time.
This year’s concert will capture the diverse holiday music traditions from across the nation. From classic “sing-along” favorites to selections from Trans-Siberian Orchestra and a surprise guest your child will love.
The program includes a pre-concert reception, which will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature multiple cadet groups and opportunities to interact with cadets and learn more about their experience at the Academy.
For more than 65 years, the band has used the power of music to honor our nation’s heroes, inspire Air Force personnel and the nation they serve, produce innovative musical programs and products, and communicate Air Force excellence to millions around the world.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m. We recommend arriving early for the best seating options. eTickets are delivered to your email address at the time of sign up.

Entering the base through the North Gate. Continue driving straight on Academy Drive for 4 miles and visitors will be directed to designated parking areas. You will be welcomed with holiday cheer during your drive in!

This year all performances will take place at Arnold Hall (2308 Cadet Drive) located on the grounds of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Parking is limited so there will be bus opportunities from the stadium. We are excited to welcome you to our home for this special holiday event. - What dates and times are the shows?

All attendees must possess a ticket, which can be obtained from AFtickets.com. If you hold a ticket but lack base access, there is no need for concern! Request base access for the Holly & Ivy Holiday concert. We aim to facilitate maximum participation from our friends and neighbors. U.S. civilians should be prepared to present a valid REAL ID form of photo identification. All foreign nationals must process through the Pass and Registration Office situated at the South Gate before being granted access to the Academy. PRO hours of operation are 0730 – 1500 seven days a week. If you have any questions please contact the PRO at 719-333-0441. - Is there assigned seating?
Seating is general admission. We recommend arriving early for the best selection. - What if I forgot to get a ticket?
So long as tickets remain available, you may be able to acquire a ticket at the event. - Are children welcome?
Yes! This family-friendly concert is suitable for guests of all ages. The show will feature a variety of songs, including seasonal favorites, and a surprise guest your child will love. - What is the dress code?
From jeans to tuxedos, from sneakers to flair, if it’s festive & jolly, it’s perfect to wear! - Will there be food and drink available?
Yes. Light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. - What are prohibited items?
Allowed bags include should do not exceed 12”W x 12”D x 12”H. Small clutch bag/fanny pack approximately the size of a hand (5.5” x 7.5” or smaller). Please review our clear bag policy.
Please refrain from bringing Illegal substances (Marijuana is an illegal substance on Federal property), Weapons, Laser pointers, pets, smoking vaping, or tobacco of any kind. Air Force Falcons vs. New Mexico
Falcon Football at the U.S. Air Force Academy offers many unique and fun traditions that are sure to delight fans of all ages. Home game highlights include the cadet march-on, Wings of Blue parachute demonstration team, flyovers and fireworks and pyrotechnics when the Falcons take the field, score, and win! This year, cadets, families, alumni and community members will enjoy six home games.

Wreaths Across America

Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10 a.m.
Location: U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery
Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring veterans and remembering our fallen heroes through its annual wreath-laying ceremonies. Each year, more than 2 million wreaths are placed at cemeteries, memorials, and historic sites across the nation.
Join us on Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m., at the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery for a special ceremony followed by wreath placement. This meaningful event is an opportunity to honor those who served, remember those we’ve lost, and teach future generations the value of freedom. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, bring your friends and family!

Registration for this event is not required.

Acceptance Day Parade

Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 9 a.m.
Location: Stillman Field
During the ceremony, basic cadets are accepted into the Cadet Wing. They become fourth-class cadets (freshmen) and are placed into their academic year Cadet Squadron. The parade is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
Food trucks will be available in the upper Stillman parking lot, and cadets are authorized to have a picnic with their families anywhere within the installation after the parade ends.

Parents’ Weekend

Parents’ Weekend is an exciting opportunity for cadets to reconnect with their family for the first time following Basic Cadet Training. It is held over Labor Day weekend and includes a cadet wing parade, information fair, and an opportunity for parents and cadets to attend academic, squadron, athletic, and airfield open houses.
