Wings of Blue defeats Black Knights

Michelle Eberheart/April 27, 2017 The Air Force Academy Wings of Blue defeated the West Point Black Knights during the fourth annual Inter Service Academy Meet April 14-16 at the Military Academy, New York. Wings of Blue parachutists won two of the three categories, the six-way speed formation and four-way competition, while Black Knights’ Tristan Tarpey came in first for sport accuracy competition. Ethical conversations: CCLD hosts war workshop

Robert Kehler, former commander of U.S. Strategic Command, was one of four keynote speakers. He said ethics, technology and morality deserve significant consideration during war. Astronautics Department to retire ‘workhorse’ satellite

Academy Prep School to get ‘EZpay’

The EZpay Stored Value Card Program will reduce financial hardships some cadet-candidates face, said Lt. Col. Academy grad arrives at International Space station April 20

  By John Van Winkle/April 17, 2017 An Air Force Academy graduate traveled to the International Space Station April 20 to conduct research NASA hopes will eventually lead to a mission to Mars. Astronaut Col. Jack Fischer made the six-hour flight to the station, more than 200 miles above the Earth, with cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin of Roscosmos, Russia’s State Corporation for Space Activities, aboard the Russian-made Soyuz MS-04 spacecraft.
