Bio

Alex was commissioned as an officer in 2017 through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics. After commissioning, he was stationed at Peterson Space Force Base as an operational test analyst for the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Detachment 4. He was later selected for the U.S. Air Force Academy's faculty pipeline program to pursue a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics (Statistics track), at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Since 2022, Alex has been an instructor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Academy, teaching courses in calculus and statistics, mentoring students as a capstone project research advisor, and serving as an academic advisor.
