Bio

Major Adam Gorzkowski currently serves as an instructor in the Department of Political Science at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. As an Instructor of Political Science, he teaches classes on American Government, Politics, National Security, and International Relations. He is an Air Force Foreign Area Officer and was most recently assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. As the Deputy Chief of Military Cooperation in Tajikistan, he was responsible for executing an annual $40M security cooperation and security assistance portfolio with Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, National Guard, and Border Guard Forces.

Major Gorzkowski is a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy where he majored in Civil Engineering and minored in Russian Language. He commissioned as a Civil Engineer and has held Engineering Flight Commander, Operations Flight Commander, and Readiness and Emergency Management Flight Commander positions. He has deployed four times, with responsibilities ranging from mentoring  Afghan National Police Forces, to constructing Ebola Treatment Units in Liberia, and evaluating contingency airfields for U.S. Central Command, including surveying and designing the first C-17-capable logistics node in Syria.
