Bio

Capt Guadalupe Hernandez is an instructor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  His primary responsibilities include teaching and tutoring junior college-level mathematics courses, along with working with department faculty members in areas of curriculum development, study skills development, and methods to enhance the student learning process. He also contributes to the evaluation of the performance, character, leadership, and officer potential for Air Force Academy cadets and advises students both within classroom environments and one-on-one to enhance their academic performance and overall development.

A graduate of California State University, Chico, Capt Hernandez received his commission through the Officer Training School program at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama in August 2017. He completed the Operations Research and System Analysis course at the Army Logistics University, Fort Lee, Virginia in May 2018. He is an operations research analyst officer that acts for stakeholders and commanders alike to develop and deliver capabilities that provide the warfighter agile, integrated, resilient, and protected effects to meet critical national imperatives. He holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from Stanford University. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Officer in Charge of the Wing Analytics Program for the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing at Scott AFB, Illinois.
