Bio

Lt Col Phillip R. Miller is an Instructor of Mathematical Sciences with the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy.  His previous assignments include commanding the Special Operations Advanced Capabilities Squadron within Air Force Special Operations Command, in addition to two deployed command tours of various Special Operations Forces units in Africa and Afghanistan.

Lt Col Miller graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2005. Following graduation, he attended an in residence Master of Science program at University of Boulder prior to pilot training. After completing undergraduate pilot training, his first assignment was to the 319th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field. Maj Miller was hand selected to take part in the first Weapons Instructor Course class for the U-28A and holds the qualifications of evaluator pilot and weapons officer in that platform. He has been deployed 12 times throughout various areas of responsibility in the Middle East accumulating 2,697 combat hours.
