Bio

Captain (Capt) Aron R. Wing is an Operations Research Analyst serving as a Mathematical Sciences Instructor at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The USAFA mission is to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become leaders of character, motivated to lead the Department of the Air Force in service to our Nation.

Capt Wing enlisted as a financial services technician 11 December 2012. His enlisted assignments included Keesler AFB, MS where he graduated enlisted technical training as the Distinguished Graduate; and, JBPHH, HI where he served additionally as a security forces augmentee and on the base Honor Guard.

Capt Wing earned a commission in March 2016, was an Honor Graduate (Top 10%) of the Operations Research Scientific Analyst Military Applications Course, and assigned to the Information Directorate of Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL). There he served as a Systems Analyst in the neuromorphic computing laboratory; Program Manager for the Multi-Domain Dynamic Targeting program; and, as the Honor Guard Officer-in-Charge. He was then selected for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) pipeline to follow on as an instructor at USAFA. At USAFA, he serves additionally as the Department of Mathematics Executive Officer, Officer-in-Charge of the Cadet Club Honor Guard, an Officer Representative for the Baseball team, and volunteers with the Base Honor Guard.
