Bio

Lucinda Matteson is the Cost Center Manager for the Center for Aircraft Structural Life Extension (CAStLE) in the Department of Engineering Mechanics at the Air Force Academy. She manages a budget that averages $30M per year as well as takes care of CAStLE’s general administrative tasks. She has been with CAStLE for 10 years.

Prior to joining CAStLE, Lucinda served on active duty in the Air Force retiring as a MSgt after 24 years of service. She was assigned to aircraft maintenance for most of her career. Her last assignment on active duty was as the Family Support Center (now Airman & Family Readiness Center) Superintendent. This last assignment is where she learned Air Force Budgeting. The combination of her budget and maintenance experience brings a unique background blend to her role as Cost Center Manager for CAStLE.
