Bio

Stephan Chastain is an Instructor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DFEC) at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA). He instructs students comprising all majors in the core electrical and computer engineering course, ECE 315, as well as DFEC majors in the Signals & Linear Systems course, ECE 333.

Stephan Chastain retired from the Air Force in 2011 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at U.S. Air Force Academy. During his career in the Air Force, he served in a variety of positions, working with the Defense Support Program early-warning satellite system, orbital simulations with The Aerospace Corporation, testing integrated GPS and inertial navigations systems for flight, monitoring the progress of avionics systems for the Atlas V launch vehicle, and conducting the testing of chemical/biological detection systems at the Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center, before coming to teach at U.S. Air Force Academy.
