Lt Col Jacob C. Jensen graduated from Utah State University in 2008 and earned his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. A career Logistics Readiness Officer (21R), he has developed extensive expertise in air transportation and logistics readiness operations at both the flight and squadron levels. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and multiple Building Partnership Capacity air advisor missions throughout Latin America.

As a staff officer Lt Col Jensen served on a Numbered Air Force, where he conducted theater war planning and exercises, and managed the Air Force’s war reserve materiel stockpile of equipment and vehicles for the Korean theater of operations. As an Air Staff officer at the Pentagon, he programmed the Air Force’s $24.1 billion annual logistics budget, enabling the sustainment of 5,240 aircraft, 1.2 million flying hours, and 5.4 million vehicles, support equipment assets, and war reserve materiel items. Lt Col Jensen is also a two-time graduated squadron commander. He first served as Commander of the 65th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Lajes Field, Azores, and most recently commanded the 422d Supply Chain Management Squadron, leading 178 personnel responsible for managing 109,690 aircraft instrument parts supporting 18 aircraft fleets with a total value of $5.1 billion.

In addition to his operational assignments, Lt Col Jensen completed academic programs through the Air Force Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He later earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Supply Chain Management from Auburn University, where his research focused on supply chain resilience and risk management. Lt Col Jensen is married and has three children.
