Bio
Major Andrew W. Alexander serves in the Education Division for the Center for Character and Leadership Development, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. The Center’s mission is to serve the Academy by advancing character and leadership development to prepare graduates for service to the nation. He is responsible for supporting professional development for cadets, faculty, and staff, and integrating character and leadership development programs across the 4,000-member Cadet Wing.
Maj Alexander is a 2009 graduate of Western Carolina University. He enlisted in the Air Force in 2011 and earned his commission in 2014. He attended Undergraduate Combat Systems Officer (CSO) training at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., where he was assigned to the B-52 Stratofortress as a Weapon Systems Officer. His operational assignments include Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Royal Air Force Fairford, U.K., Andersen AFB, Guam, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory, and Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. His past jobs have included Weapons and Tactics Directorates, Squadron Executive Officer, Wing Evaluator Weapon Systems Officer, Chief of Bomber Task Force Plans and Programs, Assistant Director of Operations, and interim Director of Operations and Commander of the 20th Bomb Squadron.
