This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for Thursday, February 5th —

On this day, back in 1983 — For the fifth time, the Academy plays host to the Colorado Special Olympics State Basketball Tournament.

…Also on this day, back in 2006 — Bryce Fisher, Class of ’99, plays in the NFL’s Super Bowl XL for the Seattle Seahawks, who lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 21-10. He was the second Air Force Academy graduate to play in a Super Bowl, following Chad Hennings, Class of ’88.
