Celebrating the holidays through music
At this special holiday event, attendees will join Academy personnel and cadets to celebrate the season. The Academy Band and cadets will showcase their musical talent and their ability to inspire patriotism and service.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome the greater Colorado Springs community into our “home” on the installation for this year’s production of Holly & Ivy. The addition of the reception at 6 p.m. in the Ballroom is an amazing opportunity for people to meet and learn about our Cadets and their journey through the Academy while also celebrating the season,” said Lt Col Michael Hoerber, U.S. Air Force Academy Band commander. “Just as meaningful to us – the Holiday shows are our way to show thanks to all who support our Active Duty Air Force members, the Cadets, and the Academy Band year-round.”

One of only two Air Force premier bands
Originally established in 1955, the Academy Band harnesses the power of music to honor our nation’s flag, leaders and veterans. The band inspires Airmen and Guardians and the next generation to serve. They also connect the Department of the Air Force to the American public and audiences worldwide.
The Academy band is one of only two Air Force premier bands and the only Department of Defense premier band located west of the Appalachian Mountains.
The 62 professional Airman-musicians of the Academy Band come together to create nine professional ensembles that have been featured in Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, on Fox & Friends and SiriusXM radio.
