Bio

Colonel Troy Harting is the Permanent Professor, Head of the Department of Management, and Vice Dean of the Faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He commands a department of 37 military and civilian faculty members, responsible for all curriculum, personnel, budget, research and long-range planning associated with the management major and interfaces with the operations research and systems engineering majors. Prior to this assignment, was the Director of the Dean’s Commander’s Action Group at USAFA, where he prepared and coordinated strategic information products and directly supported high-profile initiatives of the Dean and Superintendent. Colonel Harting was also recently the Project Director and Panel Executive for NATO’s System Analysis and Studies Panel, part of the Research and Technology Organization (RTO). He supervised, advised and assisted in the execution of over 20 research activities aimed at furthering basic technology research on behalf of NATO, as well as coordinated with the six additional RTO technology panels and other NATO and Partner for Peace (PfP) entities.
