
Bio
Maj. Jake Willstatter is an Instructor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. He spent 10 years flying as a Combat Systems Officer, including seven years as an Electronic Warfare Officer on the AC-130U. Maj. Willstatter deployed six times in support of OPERATION FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE. He earned his master’s in Aeronautical Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology, focusing on heat transfer and fluid dynamics. Prior to arriving at the Academy, he was an Undergraduate Combat Systems Officer Training Instructor where he specialized in instructing electromagnetic warfare and special operations concepts.
