Bio
Major Kelly Fennell serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law at the United States Air Force Academy. The Department of Law team consists of 21 faculty and staff that engage in the design and teaching of 19 core and elective law courses, in scholarship across a variety of disciplines, in the legal support to the administration of the Cadet Honor System, and in the development of officers of character for the U.S. Air Force.
Major Fennell is a native of Limestone County, Alabama. She attended undergrad at the University of Alabama and attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law. Major Fennell received a commission by direct appointment in May 2017. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of South Dakota and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Prior to entering active duty, she worked for the Rule of Law Collaborative as a research assistant and was an academic advisor and instructor for pre-professional students at The University of Alabama.
