Bio
Lieutenant Colonel Jessica E. Brown is the Deputy Director of Operations and Instructor for the History Department in the Dean of Faculty at the United States Air Force Academy. Her academic interests are American history in airpower, gender, race and their relationship with technology and political and military policies. She teaches core Military History, Modern Warfare, Airpower, Axis and Allies in World War II, and 20th Century US Political Leaders.
After receiving her commission from University of California Los Angeles's Reserve Officer Training Corps, in 2006, she attended undergraduate navigator training and earned her silver wings in 2007. For eleven year, Lt Col Brown has served the Air Force Special Operations Command as a Combat Systems Officer, contributing to Operation ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. Lt Col Brown now serves as an Instructor of History at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
