Bio
Dr. Brad Wambeke graduated from South Dakota State University as a Distinguished Military Graduate and was commissioned as a US Army Engineering Officer in 1993. He held numerous operational assignments, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition to his operational assignments, Dr. Wambeke taught in the Civil and Mechanical Engineering (C&ME) Department at the United States Military Academy, West Point, from 2003-2005. He returned to the C&ME Department in 2014 as a permanent academy professor and served as the Civil Engineering Director from 2017-2021. As his final assignment in the Army, he served as the Deputy Department Head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) starting in the summer of 2021. He retired from active duty on 30 September 2022 as a colonel, and is currently serving as a civilian faculty member in the USAFA Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His technical areas of interest are structures and construction management.
