Bio

Pam Chadick Aloisa received her BFA degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, focusing on painting which has remained her primary medium. Before that, she obtained full art scholarships at two private universities, majoring in art, but relocating from Iowa to various locations with her assignments in the military. She served as an aircraft electrician and reprographics worker during her years as an enlisted member and then as a logistics officer when she was commissioned. Pam lived in Norway for four years, earning her MA degree; she studied under Ida Lorentzen, a well-known Norwegian painter. Her MFA degree was earned at Rutgers University, studying under Leon Golub, Judith Brodsky, and Joan Semmel. She participated in regular exhibitions, including exhibitions at Rhode Island School of Design and various venues in New York City.

In 1991, Pam joined the faculty at the Air Force Academy, where she works as the sole art professor and Director/Curator of the art gallery. She teaches drawing, painting, photography, and seminar courses in art history. She has curated/hosted over 150 exhibits for the gallery.

Pam’s art includes all subject matter to demonstrate her skills to students, but her mature style and professional work merges expressionism with pop art style, featuring figures in settings that evoke deeper contemplation. The Symbolist painters and German and Viennese Expressionists have long been her primary inspiration along with American and European modernists. The bezold effect merged with bold brushstrokes is apparent in most works. The Chadick-Aloisa private studio is located in Monument, Colorado. Her works continue to be exhibited in invitational, juried, and solo exhibits across the country and in private collections nationwide and abroad.
