This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for Friday, May 16th– 

On this day, back in 1969 — The Falconews reports that Lucille Ball completed filming a special segment of her weekly “Here’s Lucy” television show last week.  The comedienne and her production crew spent 10 days at the Academy.  The two-part episode aired in September 1969. 

…Also on this day, back in 1999 — The Discovery Channel premieres a three-hour documentary, “Inside America’s Military Academies.”  Portions of the documentary were filmed at the Air Force Academy.
