The Last Starfighter is a sci-fi classic! After finally achieving the high score on Starfighter, his favorite arcade game, everyday teenager Alex Rogan (Lance Guest) meets the game’s designer, Centauri (Robert Preston) — who reveals that he created Starfighter as a training ground for developing and recruiting actual pilots to help fight a war in space.
Whisked away from the banality of his trailer park life to a distant alien planet, Alex struggles to use his video game-playing skills to pilot a real ship, with real lives at stake.
This movie event is open to ALL, including the public, but ALL ATTENDEES MUST RSVP online to reserve your seats for the movie. An RSVP to this movie event is an RSVP for this timed showing only.
Non-messy snacks and closeable drinks with lids are authorized for this event only in the Planetarium.
With our limited seating, please only reserve seats if you know you will be attending. If you RSVP and your plans change for any reason, please email Jeff our Planetarium Director at planetarium@afacademy.af.edu so we can release your seats.
BASE PASS:
Visitors to the Air Force Academy, 18 years old and older need to either be accompanied by a DoD card holder or request a base pass. Everyone who RSVPs for this event will receive an email days prior to the event with a QR code which can be used to request a base pass for the event.
