This is your official Air Force Academy History Update for Friday, March 21^st–

On this day, back in 1969 — Lucille Ball visiting the Academy to begin filming a television episode. She was escorted by Cadet Scott Matheson, Class of ’69 and Commander of Cadet Squadron 27. A two-part episode of her show filmed at the Academy would be broadcast in September 1969.

…Also on this day, back in 2007 — The Cadet Chorale quartet sings at the funeral for (Retired) General “Ted” Seith at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia. General Seith, a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, served as Commandant of Cadets from 1965 to 1967 and later as chief of staff, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe.
