Star Trek III: The Search for Spock in the USAFA Planetarium
Special Free Movie Event
Open to ALL
Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m.
The Search for Spock sometimes gets overlooked in the list of best Star Trek films and in Star Trek canon in general. There is a critical aspect to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, without which, there may never have been more than The Original Series on television and the first two films. We will discuss this aspect of The Search for Spock for a few minutes before we begin the film.
Join us as we celebrate Star Trek Day – Sept 8, 1966 – the first episode of Star Trek aired on television – and it’s been inspiring and entertaining generations ever since.
This movie event is open to Cadets, USAFA permanent party and their families, but ALL ATTENDEES MUST RSVP online to reserve your seats for the movie. An RSVP to The Search for Spock is an RSVP for this movie only.
Non-messy snacks and closeable drinks with lids are authorized for this event only in the Planetarium.
With our limited seating, please only reserve seats if you know you will be attending. If you RSVP and your plans change for any reason, please email Jeff our Planetarium Director at planetarium@afacademy.af.edu so we can release your seats.
