U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — The Air Force Cadet Cycling Team is scheduled to host the Front Range Cycling Classic April 14-15.

The event is slated for 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. April 14 and 8 a.m-4 p.m. April 15.

Drivers may expect a large number of cyclists on roads at the Air Force Academy and expect short delays, especially near the medical clinic.

Race vehicles will escort large groups of cyclists. Drivers are asked not to pass between those escort vehicles and the cyclists.

All roads at the Academy will be open to traffic. Drivers are asked to obey the instructions of the course marshals to ensure the safety of the cyclists.

The race will not interfere with access onto the Academy. The North Gate is open to military I.D. card holders 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. for non-Defense Department ID card holders. The South Gate is open 24 hours a day for I.D. card holders. Learn more about base access.
